Ordering a website for the first time and not sure what to expect? A well-run project is predictable and organized. Here's what the website-building process looks like, step by step, from idea to launch.
1. Discovery and needs analysis
Everything starts with understanding your business: who your customers are, what your goals are, what the site needs to do. At this stage we define the scope, features, and budget. It's the foundation of the entire project.
2. Strategy and architecture
Before any design work begins, we plan the structure: what pages, in what order, how to guide the visitor toward contact or purchase. This is also where keywords for SEO get selected.
3. Visual design (UX/UI)
The look of the site takes shape — layout, colors, typography, content placement. You approve the design before development starts, so you see the final result in advance.
4. Development (coding)
The approved design becomes a working, fast, responsive website. At this stage we take care of technical correctness, security, and search engine optimization.
5. Content and testing
We fill the site with text and photos, then test everything: forms, the mobile version, loading speed, and how it behaves across different browsers.
6. Launch and support
The site goes live on the server. But that's not the end — after launch, technical support continues: fixes, updates, and further development.
How long does it take?
A simple brochure site usually takes 2–3 weeks to build; larger projects take longer. We cover timelines in more detail in how long it takes to build a website.
